A project to design a brand logo and identity along with an advertisement campaign to accompany it.

A solo assignment developed during my second year of QUT for unit DVB101: Visual Communication Design in 2024, focusing on designing a product for an entertainment corporation that produces cutting edge products for a youth-oriented market. 

 

I chose to design a brand for a line of headphones, with an identiy of rebelliousness, high energy, and loudness.

Part 1 - Brand Identity and Logo Design

This design process considered and decided on the key target audience, researching into the design of other headphone logos as well as an original style to match the brand identity. The logo design considered typography, logo type, colour, shape, line, and gestalt principles to create an effective and visually appealing design. Logo variations were put into a variety of mock-ups and contexts to illustrate its use.

Part 2 - Persuasive Rhetorical Campaign

The aim of this campaign was to create a series of three images to work as advertisements for the prior developed brand. Once again, research was done into other headphone brand campaigns along with styles matching the brand's identity and mock-ups for the campaign were created to illustrate its use. Colour, typography, and composition were carefully considered to create an effective advertisement campaign.
